Salary:  $60,000 - $75,000 based upon education, work experience, and skill

Position Summary

Vescent Technologies seeks a detail-oriented and highly motivated inventory analyst to join our team in Golden, Co. The candidate will support production and procurement by proactively managing inventory levels, material requirements, and inventory planning to ensure required materials are available to meet production needs. This role will focus on analyzing historical usage, production requirements, demand trends, vendor lead times, and ERP data to identify potential material shortages and inventory risk before they impact production. The inventory analyst will also help establish and optimize inventory planning parameters including min/max levels and reorder points, while identifying excess, slow moving, and obsolete inventory. The right candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable working with data to solve problems and make informed recommendations. This position will work closely with production, procurement, and engineering to improve inventory accuracy, optimize stocking levels, and support a more proactive, data-driven approach to inventory planning.

Responsibilities

• Own inventory levels and availability to ensure required materials are on hand to meet production requirements.
• Determine potential shortages and material risks before they impact production.
• Define and optimize Min/Max levels, reorder points, and inventory planning parameters based on demand, usage, and lead times.
• Analyze historical usage, production trends, and demand to forecast future material requirements and establish appropriate inventory levels.
• Create and place Purchase Orders to ensure required parts and materials are available when needed.
• Manage open Purchase Orders, vendor lead times, and expected deliveries to ensure materials arrive according to production requirements.
• Review BOMs and production requirements for inventory planning accuracy.
• Identify and determine dead, excess, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory.
• Own inventory analysis and provide recommendations to Management and Procurement to address shortages, excess inventory, and material risks.
• Define and maintain non-stock and special-order material requirements in coordination with Sustaining Engineer.
• Develop and maintain inventory reports and KPIs that improve planning, inventory performance, and decision-making.

Required Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, operations, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of relevant inventory and materials planning experience
• Experience with ERP systems and inventory planning
• Knowledge of min/max levels, reorder points, and forecasting
• Familiarity with BOM’s and production requirements
• Proficiency in excel and data analysis
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail and communicationdskills

Desirable Additional Skills

• Experience with Acumatica or another manufacturing ERP system
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills
• Familiarity with electronics components and ESD safety practices
